San Antonio Spurs guard Gary Neal has been no stranger to pro/am basketball this summer.
He’s played with Washington D.C.’s Goodman League throughout the summer, including the first Goodman vs. Drew showdown and played for Carmelo Anthony’s teaming two separate games.
It appears Neal could be lacing them up again for the Goodman League for a rematch against the Drew League on October 9.
In the first game, Neal’s Goodman team won 135-134 in DC, but the game is now moving to Los Angeles.
Wizards center JaVale McGee, who put Neal on his poster with a block in the first game, will not be playing for the Drew League for the rematch, according to USA Today (via Crossover Chronicles.)
Center JaVale McGee (Washington Wizards) is not expected to play in the game for the Drew, but there will be new faces for the rematch: Ryan Hollins (Cleveland Cavaliers), Dorrell Wright (Golden State Warriors), Nick Young (Wizards) and Trevor Ariza (New Orleans Hornets).
While Neal hasn’t had the luxury of playing overseas like several other Spurs during the lockout, he’s stayed very busy and there is no doubt he’ll be in shape whenever the silver & black suit up next.
