Jefferson ranked 130th by ESPN writers

Richard JeffersonESPN.com has been ranking every NBA player in their NBA rank series of posts form 1-500. They recently released 121-140 and one San Antonio Spurs player made that list.

Spurs forward Richard Jefferson was ranked 130 with a score of 5.12, which was the average based on ESPN’s 91 panelists that were asked to rate each player on a 0-to-10 scale.

Jefferson is in interesting company, with Kirk Hinrich, Chuck Hayes, and Thabo Sefolosha in the same group. One thing that is apparent in this group is that sometimes you don’t get what you pay for.

Of the 20 players listed, Jefferson is the fourth-highest paid player, coming up just short of Vince Carter, Rip Hamilton and Mehemt Okur. But in terms of production, Jefferson is eighth in scoring and is tied for 12th in rebounds

I’m not sure I completely agree with the list, especially seeing players like Chuck Hayes, Greg Monroe, Darrell Arthur, Brandon Bass and Derrick Favors below Jefferson.
