It isn’t taking very long for San Antonio Spurs forward DeJuan Blair to get settled in in Russia and with his team BC Krasnye Krylya Samara.
In his first game, Blair contributed with a double-double, 23 points and 11 rebounds.
Yesterday, in his second game against Ukarainian club Dhinpo, Blair finished with a very efficient 21 points, shooting 10 of 15 from the field, and seven rebounds in 28 minutes on the floor.
While he wasn’t the scoring leader for the team during the game, coming up one point short of Eugene Kolesnikov’s 22 points, he’s been a standout compared to the other current and former NBA players, including Jarvis Hayes, Joe Alexander and Aaron Miles.
Blair and the Redwings play against the Anvil from Poland today in the second round of the VTB United League qualifying tournament.
