Tony Allen Might Just Be Back

How's that for an overreaction to a preseason game?

Well… the fact is that we haven't seen this kind of Tony Allen for a couple of years.  He put in 32 points on 11-18 shooting and 10 of 12 free throws in a 111-108 win in New Jersey.  The C's sat the Big 3… and Tony Allen played aggressively on both ends of the floor to lead the C's.

He didn't do it himself.  Eddie House played very well… scoring 21 points… and carrying the C's early and leading them out of an early deficit.  Gabe Pruitt had a solid game with 14 points and 7 assists… and he looked pretty comfortable doing it.  He had a nice little stretch where he finished a nice pass from Rajon Rondo with a floater from the low block… and then he canned a 3 on the next possession.

Hell… even Scal had 11 points, 2 steals and 3 assists.

Now, with 3 preseason games left, Doc Rivers says he's going to start using more "regular season" type rotations.  That's good news for people like me, who are actually going to tomorrow night's game against the Knicks.  Everyone bring your Slim Fast and Exercise Ball signs for Eddy Curry.
