Lakers fans expect Andrew Bynum to be the difference between celebrating a championship and suffering through another heart-wrenching, groin-stomping loss to the Celtics in the Finals. Maybe they should lower their expectations a bit, especially since Bynum isn't good enough to play in crunch time…of regular season games.
"I don't understand why I'm not in at the end of games," Bynum said. "It doesn't make much sense to me, but it's something I have to deal with. I haven't been in foul trouble the last couple games. So I have no idea."
Hey Andrew – your coach has the answer:
"When he shows the ability to play defense appropriately he'll probably be there," Jackson said.
This is the second time Bynum has publically challenged Phil Jackson regarding his minutes. What can you expect from a young guy with Kobe Bryant as a mentor?
