Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports has the report.
The Celtics have offered their first-round pick, J.R. Giddens, around the league for a future first-round pick. So far, there are no takers. Giddens is playing for the Utah Flash of the NBA Developmental League.
That's the entire report. Can't really say much about this other than the Celtics must not think he can help right away, so they'd rather just have another pick to make down the road (or use as a bargaining chip).
**update: in that CelticsBlog link, Jeff says he's got a very reliable source to say this isn't true. I'm willing to bet that the Celtics are still willing to listen to offers, though. That rumor didn't come out of nowhere. Chances are Yahoo talked to someone who was offered Giddens in some manner… and it got blown up to him being shopped.
And before I forget… with 10 days left before the big Christmas game… it's time for our third day of Christmas:
On the third day of Christmas, the Celtics gave to me…
3 point bombs from Ray and Eddie
2 straight Finals losses by the Lakers
and a ring for Tony Allen's pinky!
