From some dude named Woelful at the Journal Times (Wisconsin):
At least one well-informed NBA informant insists that Lakers coach Phil Jackson will hang up the clipboard this summer and his successor could be Duke's Mike Krzyewski — especially if his highly-influential agen (Kobe Bryant) puts the heat on Lakers management.
Wouldn't this be fun? Every few years, Coach K's name pops up for an NBA job. I believe this is the second time he's been rumored to be headed to LA, and about 15 years ago his name surfaced for the Celtics job.
Coach K has passed on the NBA because he (and everybody else) knows his hard-line style won't work with NBA players. But if Kobe wants Coach K, then Kobe will get Coach K, provided he's finally willing to make the leap.
