The Week in Review

Paul Pierce had a busy week. While launching his new Truth on Health initiative, he blasted the NBA for planning to go with replacement referees if the current labor dispute isn't solved by the start of the season.

He also said the Celtics are the best team in the NBA, which set off a fantastic war of words between Celtics and Lakers fans in our post. Speaking of Laker hate, old-timer Sam Jones is still a proud member of that fan club.

We finally learned of the week-old rumor that doctors used staples to re-attach tendons in KG's knee.

Marquis Daniels tweeted his way in-and-out of trouble. Memo to athletes: leave out all references to fighting and dogs. Rajon Rondo talked with SI and gave us some insight into his perceived attitude problems. Meanwhile, Slam Magazine called Rondo the 27th best player in the NBA, I'm still not sure if this is too high or low. Ball Don't Lie calls Danny Ainge the 4th best GM of the decade.

The Player Projection for this week is Kendrick Perkins. John and I both have major expectations for this kid. Rasheed Wallace read to some schools kids in Boston and then hopped on a Duck Boat.

The Russian Mark Cuban is buying the NJ Nets. Can you say LeBronus Jameski?

Team BigMck won the Legends Series, 4-2. I've ordered a gold-plated championship belt (a la WWE style) which will be worn regularly at staff meetings until next year's series.

On the babe front, I used Lamar Odom's upcoming wedding as an excuse to post these pictures of Kim Kardashian.

The Two Man Game returned to the airwaves this week. We
talk fantasy hoops, KG's knee, Rondo and everything else Celtics
related. Don't be deterred by the lack of guests or callers, it was a
good show.

Oh yeah, we also had the world's longest basketball shot.
