KG’s minutes going up

Kevin Garnett played just a fraction under 36 minutes against the Cavaliers on Sunday – a season high for the Celtics forward, and quite possibly a sign of the direction his playing time will be taking once the playoffs start.

It’s also as good a sign as any that Garnett is as physically sound as he has been all season.

“I don’t know yet,” Doc Rivers said at this morning’s shootaround at Madison Square Garden. “I’m going to try and figure that out. He handled it pretty well. There was some fatigue yet because he hadn’t played 35 minutes, maybe this year, but in a long time.

There's a reason Doc limited KG's minutes to the low 30's this year.

The good thing is, it seems like he'll be able to handle the added workload.  We hope.
