On the Menu: Caesar Salmon Pasta

The problem with spinach pasta is that it doesn’t do itself any favors with the color. It tastes just fine, but looks a little, well, gross, because of the tint. At least there is some red, both from the smoked salmon and the red peppers to break up the blob of snot green.

The sauce was the most interesting part of the dish, as it should be with any good pasta. The base was red pepper and smoked salmon infused butter paired with Ceasar dressing. There were a few other additions, but mostly for the purpose of consistency in the sauce. It smelled like a Parmesan garlic blend, which makes sense, because there is garlic in Caesar dressing, but it didn’t taste like it. It wasn’t overwhelmingly fishy, either, which is good. Of course, smoked salmon in itself isn’t very fishy, so that makes sense. Instead, it was a slightly tangy, with none of the potentially offensive flavors standing out. All in all, not a bad dish. And hey, smoked salmon is good for you.
