The Europa League is a wonderful tapestry

I am sorry to do this for those of you who aren’t actually fans of soccer or international soccer. The UEFA Europa League is the competition that Rosenborg is playing in this year, the second level continental European tournament. It features a lot more teams, and because of this, there is a greater discrepancy of skill, resources and enthusiasm. To wit, take a look at the home and away highlight videos of the match between international powerhouse FC Twente from the Netherlands and UE Santa Coloma, from Andorra. This is a more lopsided affair than a 1-16 match in the NCAA tournament, and its played at home and away, which means you get well attended affairs in beautiful stadiums:

Of course, these stadiums are both nicer than the stadium Shirak played Rudar Pljevlja. As if I had to tell you, this was played in Armenia (where Shirak is from… Rudar in Montenegrin)
