Time for another week of power ranks.
The Texans got another win on Thanksgiving, and remain #1. Despite wins from all the other top teams, we saw some movement. The Ravens are now 9-2 somehow and jumped 3 spots to #2, while the Patriots fell a spot from an apparent strength of schedule hit by playing the Jets. The 49ers jumped 2 spots to #4 after a nice win on the road against the surging Saints, and the Falcons struggled but got the win over Tampa, dropping them to #5. The formerly #4 Packers dropped to #8 after losing bad to the Giants.
On the low end, a win by the Jaguars moved them all the way up to #29! They were replaced by the Raiders, who have the luxury of being both the 2nd worst team in their division and 2nd worst team in the NFL. Speaking of the worse team in the NFL, as I write this, news is breaking that a Chiefs player committed suicide at the Chiefs facility after apparently killing his girlfriend. Horrible situation all around. What a nightmare of a season for everyone involved with that team
The biggest gainers this week were the Rams and Browns. They are bad teams that got wins so they jumped over a bunch of bad teams that didn’t. The biggest losers were the Titans, who lost to Jacksonville. No surprise there.
