Links of the Day 1/20/13

It is so freaking cold out right now. Stay indoors and watch football! Also, a special happy birthday to Steve Pallotto, who is in Las Vegas, so if you see him, give him a hug for me.

The last conference game at Mariucci Arena between Minnesota and North Dakota ended in a tie.

In other hockey news, we had the freakin’ NHL back last night. Mikael Granlud scored career goal #1.

Stan Musial passed away yesterday. One of the greatest baseball players the world has seen.

SCOREBOARD
Football League Championship
Charlton Athletic 2, Blackburn 1 – The Rovers are in 14th, 10 points from the playoffs to get back to the Premier League. They are not very good.
NCAAB
Kansas 64, Texas 59 – Is Texas supposed to be good this year? I seriously have no idea.
Purdue 79, West Virginia 52 – Every once in a while, Purdue puts it together and becomes tough to beat. This was one such occasion. They wore stupid gray uniforms though.
Western Illinois 50, North Dakota State 42 – First conference loss of the season for the Bison. Western Illinois is a strong squad this year.
NHL
Minnesota 4, Colorado 2 – A real hockey score! Dany Heatley may be one of the happiest to see Zach Parise on his line this year.
