So their football program sucks, their basketball program sucks, and now they have a scandal. Is the fact that Rutgers is sort of close to New York City that worth it for the Big Ten?
The non-Catholic Big East has chosen the “American Athletic Conference” or AAC, as it’s new name. I have a better idea. For more historical accuracy, they should have chosen “Conference USA”, then Conference USA can rename themselves “Sun Belt”, then the Sun Belt can name themselves, “We’ll Take Anyone From D-1AA or WAC Just To Survive” (WTAFD1AAOWJTS). Rolls off the tongue.
Speaking of the WAC, this fall they will be joined by new D-1 team Grand Canyon University, which is located here in Phoenix. I’ve never visited campus, but my guess is people will yell in my face if I go there. It happens twice in this 30 second commercial.
