Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh is owning the state of Michigan when it comes to recruiting football players. Today, he received a verbal commitment from DE Deron Irving-Bey. Irving-Bey was also considering Michigan State. The U.S. Army All-American took his official visit to Michigan on December 10th and that seemed to seal the deal over in-state rival Michigan State. Irving-Bey also took official visits to Maryland and Tennessee in recent weeks.
The 6’5”, 282 pound defensive end had offers from a plethora of schools as the 5th ranked prospect in the state of Michigan.
