Eagles vs Giants tickets are most expensive of Week 6

The Philadelphia Eagles sit atop the NFC East with a solid 4-1 record. Despite their success to start the 2014 season, it still seems like they haven’t come close to playing their best football. That largely stems from issues with their offensive line, as star running back LeSean McCoy hasn’t consistently had room to run and quarterback Nick Foles has had sketchy protection at times. Now would be a good time for Philly to resolve its issues.

Heading into Week 6, the Eagles can ill afford to lose to the New York Giants, who are nipping at their heels with a 3-2 mark. A win would push the two into a tie for first place atop the division and would set up a climatic ending later in the year, as well.

Naturally, a huge game like this carries a ton of value, so it should surprise no one that Eagles tickets will be the most expensive of the season in Philadelphia this week. The secondary market price of Eagles vs Giants tickets is $294.32 with a $143 get-in price. The average price is 37% more expensive than the average game at Lincoln Financial Field this season. A win is what Eagles fans are looking for this week, though, not value. So, how does Philly reward their fans? By sticking to their roots.

Philly has continued to run a fast-paced offense and even when their running game has been non-existent, they’ve still plugged away with McCoy to keep opposing defenses honest. It’s worked out pretty well, especially when you consider their only loss came on the road to the 49ers.

Still, being at home doesn’t automatically cover their flaws. Eli Manning and the G-Men have turned into a formidable foe on offense, while the Eagles haven’t been able to consistently stop anyone when it comes to either the pass or the run.

That’s going to have to change to top Big Blue in Week 6. On the bright side, normal starting running back Rashad Jennings is out this week with a knee sprain. Ideally, that forces Andre Williams into pass protection and pass-catching situations – two areas he hasn’t proven yet to be reliable in. If the Eagles can exploit that and make sure the pressure remains on Manning to win this game, that could be enough to squeak out the win in what figures to be a high-scoring shootout.
