The Green Bay Packers (6-3), winners of five of their last six games, will host the Philadelphia Eagles (7-2) in a pivotal NFC showdown. Green Bay is coming off a dominant 55-14 home victory on Sunday Night Football over the Chicago Bears. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw for 315 yards and six touchdowns en-route to an easy victory. Wide receiver Jordy Nelson led the way with six catches for 152 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver Randall Cobb caught four passes for 72 yards and one touchdown. Green Bay’s defense intercepted quarterback Jay Cutler twice and sacked him three times. Green Bay’s defense limited Chicago’s rushing attack to just 2.3 yards per carry. Fans will pay above average ticket prices for a showdown between two of the NFC’s top teams at Lambeau Field.
According to TiqIQ, the average price for Packers tickets against the Eagles is $227.58 on the secondary ticket market while the get-in price is $98. While this could be a big game in the NFC standings, the average price is only 1% of the secondary market season average this year in Green Bay.
Philadelphia lost its starting quarterback Nick Foles to a fractured collarbone, but didn’t lose a beat with backup quarterback Mark Sanchez under center. Sanchez led Philadelphia’s offense en-route to a 45-21 beat down of the Carolina Panthers on Monday Night Football. Sanchez threw for 332 yards and two touchdowns as Carolina’s defense didn’t have any answer for Philadelphia’s explosive offense. Wide receiver Jordan Matthews caught seven passes for 138 yards and two touchdowns while tight end Brent Celek erupted for five catches and 116 yards. Philadelphia’s rushing attack mustered just 37 yards, but given its dominance through the air, its rushing attack wasn’t warranted.
On top of barely above average ticket prices on the secondary market, Green Bay will look to avenge last year’s 27-13 defeat. Running back LeSean McCoy ran for 155 yards in the win. Rodgers missed the game due to injury, so expect a different game flow during this year’s matchup.
