Cincinnati looks for revenge against Huskies Thursday night

The Bearcats will have a lot at stake as they face off against the defending champion UConn Huskies in a big AAC home game on Thursday night. They’ll be looking to avenge a loss earlier this month and make up ground on Tulsa and SMU in the conference standings.

Currently, Cincinnati Bearcats tickets cost only $35 on average with the cheapest tickets available starting at just six bucks. Fans who are planning on spending the night in Cincinnati can find a Cincinnati hotels guide from Hipmunk.com.  Rates begin for as low as $97 downtown and in the heart of the city, but you can find bargains in less trafficked areas of the city.  For example, hotels near the John Uri Lloyd House (located just ten minutes away from Fifth Third Arena) have rooms available for as little as $58 per night.

The Bearcats have been the overall better team so far this year, going 14-5 through their first 19 games and a solid 5-2 inside the American Athletic conference. Despite being just one game ahead of the Huskies, Cincy is within earshot of the top two spots in the conference and could have a crack at the conference championship if they play their cards right. That may be tough to accomplish with a spread out attack that doesn’t always bring it on offense, but with the nation’s fifth best defense, the Bearcats can’t be written off just yet.

It all starts on Thursday night for Cincinnati, as they have a shot at winning their fourth straight game when they host the Huskies. UConn did get the best of them in their last meeting earlier in January, but it was by six points in the type of defensive battle the Bearcats are known for. If they can bring just a little more offense this time around, they can upend the defending champs and move a little bit closer to the top of the conference.
