The Red Sox did not win today but they did not lose either. Lester pitched well going 4 scoreless innings only giving up 2 hits while striking out 5. Okajima came in and pitched 2 more scoreless innings. The Red Sox pitchers only gave up 1 run in 10 innings. Ellsbury had 2 hits including a lead-off single off of Johan Santana. The rest of the team’s bats were still silent but at least they were facing a good pitcher. The ship may be righted and there may be smoother waters ahead…at least from the West Coast perspective where it is sunny and 72 degrees today.
