WARRIORS PRACTICE FACILITY, OAKLAND, CA — Draymond Green was ejected from the #NBAXmas game on Wednesday night, a game in which the Golden State Warriors eventually won, 105-103, over the Los Angeles Clippers. Green was charged with a Flagrant Two foul committed on Blake Griffin, who was later ejected for getting called a second technical foul in an altercation with Andrew Bogut.

Green was ejected earlier this season on November 23rd in a home game against the Portland Trailblazers involving Bogut, Joel Freeland, Mo Williams, Wesley Matthews, and LaMarcus Aldridge. Green was also fined $20,000 for that incident.

Last year, Green was ejected for a Flagrant-Two foul last year against Patrick Beverley as the Houston Rockets were trying to set the all-time three-pointers-made record.

After yesterday’s practice, when asked if he had to be more careful with such transgressions, Green told LetsGoWarriors.com that the ejection was just part of playing the game of basketball.

“I’m going to continue to play basketball. That happened and, you know, it’s overwith,” Green said, “I’m not going to sit here and worry about it. It happened. Whatever happened. There’s reasons for why everything happened. You just don’t do anything like that, but at the end of the day it’s basketball. There’s gonna be some tough plays, some things are gonna happen sometimes, whatever, whatever.”

“We got the win and that was the most important thing. We were able to come out with a much-needed win to continue to build on the previous two games. We didn’t particularly shoot the ball well the entire game, but when it came down to it we executed, we made the necessary plays, we got the defensive stops that we needed to win the basketball game and that’s the most important thing,” Green added.

“My ejection isn’t the most important thing about that game, nor is Blake’s ejection the most important thing about that game. The most important thing about that game and any game is that you won or lost. Who wins and who loses the game. We were able to get the win and that’s what was most important for us.”

Literally minutes after media availability with Green after practice concluded, the NBA issued a statement about Griffin’s ejection, that the second technical should have been a common foul. But the NBA also announced Green would be fined $15,000 for not leaving the court in a timely manner following the ejection:
