It’s only morning and #DubNation fans are already setting the over-under on ejections tonight:

The Warriors will look to find their groove again tonight at home against a Clippers team that will be without Chris Paul, but a disadvantage for the Warriors is their bench, the Clippers have one guy that comes off the bench that could outscore the entire Warriors bench. His name is Jamal Crawford.

The Warriors won the last match-up 105-103 on Christmas Day at #Roaracle, mainly due to the fact that Griffin was ejected during that game, he later called the Warriors “cowardly”, suggesting that Bogut and the Warriors induced him into being called for his second technical foul.

If the two prior matchups this year are any indication of a trent, this game will most likely include a scrum.

Monte Poole of CSN Bay Area writes:

It is not the NBA newest rival. Not by traditional standards, and not by the standards of a self-described old-school competitor like Jackson, who believes rivalries run deeper and longer and usually with higher stakes. Think Lakers-Celtics in the 1980s or Bulls-Pistons in the ’90s. Or, for that matter, something more familiar to the Bay Area crowd: 49ers-Seahawks.
.
“Teams that year in and year out, are good,” Jackson said in defining the term rivalry. “Year in and year out, they battle. They’ve been relevant for a while. That’s what it takes, and I don’t think either one us . . . obviously the body of work says that we’re not there yet, neither one of us.
.
“We’re both headed in the right direction. We’ve both done some things we’ve got to be very pleased with and proud of recently. But there’s still a ways to go for both of us.”
.
No doubt, though, the sight of the Clippers triggers a certain, um, enthusiasm among the Warriors. So it’s safe to presume fans, whether watching on TV or at Oracle, will get their money’s worth in entertainment.

Curry tried to explain the chippiness yesterday after practice.

“Two division teams, they’re a team that’s been in the playoffs three straight years and have had a tough time advancing. We’ve found some success last year and so two teams trying to get back to that level,” Curry said, “So whenever you play each other that intensity kicks in seeing them four times a year knowing them very well, they’re a good basketball team and you have to come with your A-game to beat them even with the injuries they have. You gotta show up and put together full 48 minutes because they have talent all the way through their lineup.”
