The main event is here: the Eastern All-Stars vs the Western All-Stars. Before we talk about the main event, let’s do a brief recap of what happened in the other events.

Team Hill defeated Team Webber in the Rising Stars Challenge. Team Bosh who was composed of Chris BoshDominique Wilkins and Swin Cash won the Sears Shooting Stars.

Damian Lillard and Trey Burke won the NBA Skills Challenge.

Representing the Western Conference Marco Belinelli defeated Bradley Beal in a tiebreaker in the three-point contest. Lastly, John Wall took home Dunker of the Night honors in the Slam Dunk Contest.

The 63rd annual NBA All-Star game tips of at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday. The playoffs and NBA Finals are interesting, but this friendly game is best when there is nothing to worry about. That defines the All-Star, where the biggest names in the NBA play. Very little defense will be played.

Harden will be replacing Kobe Bryant in the game because of Bryant’s recent injury. At first glance you might say the East might have a slight advantage, but look again.

The West has Durant, who is playing phenomenal basketball right now, Curry who can light it up from 3-point land and Griffin who is slowly improving his game, just to name a few.

There were a few rumors going around that Durant and James might go 1-on-1 during the game.

Durant is in numerous MVP talks. If he scores higher than Lebron today, perhaps that gives him a slight advantage for moment, although the voting comes later.

Here are some fun facts about the All-Star game:

  • 7 out of the 10 All-Star games have been decided by 6 points or less.
  • Durant needs 165 points to bypass Bryant for No. 1 scorer in All-Star Game history.
  • Griffin has the second-highest field goal percentage. Who’s first? Brandon Roy.
