The Golden State Warriors will be looking to get their second win of this 2014 NBA Summer League tonight when they take on the Phoenix Suns. The Warriors beat the Charlotte Hornets in their Summer League opener by a final score of 70-58.
The Phoenix Suns have not played a game in this years NBA Summer League so far, as they had an off day yesterday.
The game tonight will tip-off at 5:00 PM PDT at the Cox Pavilion, which is the home of the UNLV Women’s basketball team.
Steve Kerr recorded his first unofficial win as Head Coach of the Golden State Warriors with a 70-58 win over Charlotte.
Rusty Simmons talked to Coach Kerr on him still owning and trying to sell his shares of the Suns. Kerr responded with: “It’s a very, very small part. I’m not Steve Balmer. I’m Steve Kerr.”
Travis Badar will join the team tonight after he was in Orlando last week, playing for Philadelphia who went on to win the Orlando Summer League. Along with Travis Badar, a younger brother of a beloved Warrior will be playing but not for Golden State. Seth Curry is in Las Vegas for the Summer League but he will be playing for the Phoenix Suns, he played for Orlando this past week in the Orlando Summer League.

There were a few players that impressed me and many others from last nights 70-58 win over the Charlotte Hornets. The first player who impressed was James Michael McAdoo, he had 11 points, and 3 rebounds in his unofficial NBA debut. He was effective on both sides of the floor, playing good defense on the 9th overall pick in this years draft, Noah Vonleh who was scoreless last night. McAdoo also added a nice pop to Golden State’s offensive attack.
Another player who impressed last night is Nemanja Nedovic. Nemanja scored 17 points and pulled down 5 rebounds, he was very efficient on the offensive end. Nemanja shot a very impressive 66.7% from the floor and he shot 66.7% from three.
Orlando Johnson was another bright spot for Golden State in the win. He had 12 points on 41% shooting. He also came away with four rebounds.
The last player who impressed last night had to be Aaron Craft, although he didn’t score at all. His presence was definitely felt, especially on defense, he had five steals last night. Aaron was also passing the ball well as he had four assists.
If Stever Kerr goes with the same starters as he did against the Charlotte Hornets, the five Warrior starters will be:
PG: Nemanja Nedovic (17 PPG, 5 RPG, 1APG)
SG: Justin Holiday (2 PPG, 4 RPG, 1 APG)
SF: Orlando Johnson (12 PPG, 4 RPG, 0 APG)
PF: James Michael McAdoo (11 PPG, 3 RPG, 0 APG)
C: Ognjen Kuzmic (4 PPG, 8 RPG, 1 APG)
