Las Vegas, NV – The Golden State Warriors Summer League winning streak fell in overtime Monday night at Cox Pavilion, as the Warriors lost 89-88 to the Los Angeles Lakers.

It looked as if Justin Holiday had struck again, hitting a long two-point basket with just 6.1 seconds left in overtime to put the Warriors ahead by one.

But the Lakers took the ball the length of the floor, and Jordan Clarkson put back a Julius Randle miss at the rim as time expired, putting an end to the Warriors 16-game Summer League streak, which began in July of 2010.

The Warriors were challenged the entire way by the Lakers, and didn’t take their first lead until there was  just 1:32 left in the regulation.

With the Dubs down 6 late in the fourth quarter, Mitchell Watt hit two free throws and Aaron Craft followed with a corner three to bring the Lakers’ lead to just one.

Randle turned the ball over after getting too fancy in transition, and Saturday night’s hero, Holiday, hit a jumper off an inbound play to give the Warriors the lead for the first time.

Down a point once again after a Kendall Marshall floater, James Michael  McAdoo drew a foul and hit 1 of 2 free throws to tie the game at 84-all, despite a strong pro-Lakers atmosphere that made a difficult to hear while he was at the line.

Neither team could put a meaningful possession together to finish regulation and the game headed to overtime still tied at 84.

Holiday hit the overtime’s only baskets, as the Lakershad only put in three free throws before Clarkson broke the hearts of DubNation.

Once again, Justin Holiday led all scorers with 26 points after a scorching first half that saw him score 17 points on 5-6 field goal shooting  (4-4 from 3PT).

Craft turned in another strong performance, with 13 points and 3 rebounds to go with 2 steals and an assist.

Despite 5 first-half fouls (7 total) and a technical, Watt was also effective, pulling down 9 rebounds to go with his 11 points.

McAdoo did a stellar job limiting touches to the Lakers top pick Randle (No. 7 overall), who still made use of his size and strength to finish with 14 points and 4 rebounds on 5 of 11 shooting.

McAdoo arguably outperformed his highly-touted match-up, going for 14 points and 8 rebounds of his own.

Orlando Johnson also added 16 points and 5 rebounds on 6-15 shooting from the field.

Los Angeles guards Clarkson and DeAndre Kane put a stop to numerous Warriors runs by hitting a number of tough shots near the end of the shot-clock, despite tight defensive pressure from Warriors guards.

Clarkson finished with a Laker team-high 19 points.
