The Golden State Warriors have gone 2-2 in their first four game here in the Las Vegas Summer League.
Their first win came on Friday, July 11th against the Charlotte Hornets, the Warriors won that game 70-58, getting head coach Steve Kerr his first unofficial win as a head coach.
Their second win came on Saturday night against a very talented Phoenix Suns team, Golden State got the win in that one thanks to an offensive rebound and layup from Justin Holiday with three seconds left, the final score was a 74-72 win.
Golden State’s third game was an absolute heart breaker. The Warriors took on the Los Angeles Lakers in their third and final game before tournament play, on Monday night at the Cox Pavilion, losing 89-88 in overtime.
The Warriors went up by one with six seconds left thanks to a Justin Holiday jumper. On the other end Julius Randle drove to the basket and missed but Jordan Clarkson saved the day with his tip in as time expire, handing the Warriors their first Summer League loss since 2010.
Golden State lost another close game here in Las Vegas losing to the Atlanta Hawks in the first round of the single elimination tournament. The Warriors fought until the end but lost 68-65, Justin Holiday missed a three at the buzzer, that would’ve sent it to overtime.
The Milwaukee Bucks have not played well at all in the Las Vegas Summer League, they are 0-4.
Milwaukee in their first game here in Las Vegas lost by two points to the Cleveland Cavaliers, the final score was 70-68. Jabari Parker and Giannis Antentokounmpo both scored 17 points for the Bucks, but it wasn’t enough as they lost their opener.
The Bucks in their second game took on the Phoenix Suns, which turned into another loss for them, a 93-82 loss to be exact. Seth Curry went off for Phoenix, he had 26 points on 7/9 shooting, he was 5/7 from three and 7/7 from the line.
