The USA Basketball Men’s National Team (#USABMNT) will be in action tonight in Las Vegas, Nevada as Team Blue and Team White face off in a scrimmage. The game can be seen on ESPN at 6:00 PM PDT.

The Golden State Warriors will be one of only a few teams to have more than one representative in tonight’s showcase as both #SplashBrothers will be suiting up.

The only thing that will be different from when they normally take the floor is that this time, they will be on opposite sides of the ball. Stephen Curry will be on Team Blue and will wear No. 43 while Klay Thompson will be on Team White wearing No. 21.

Here are the complete lineups for both squads:

Team Blue:                                                                              Team White:

43 Stephen Curry                                                                28 Bradley Beal

42 Anthony Davis                                                               36 DeMarcus Cousins

45 DeMar DeRozan                                                              25 Andre Drummond

13 Kenneth Faried                                                               52 Kevin Durant

29 Paul George                                                                      32 James Harden

24 Gordon Hayward                                                           23 Kyrie Irving

39 Kyle Korver                                                                     22 Damian Lillard

75 Mason Plumlee                                                              51 Paul Milsap

41 Derrick Rose                                                                    34 Chandler Parsons

30 John Wall                                                                           21 Klay Thompson

As mentioned in a previous LetsGoWarriors.com article, Curry is considered a lock for the final twelve-man roster. His ability to run the offense as a traditional point guard as well as play off of the ball is what makes him so valuable.

“I play a lot off the ball knowing that we have some other point guards that love to push it in transition and are pretty explosive,” Curry said during an NBATV interview at practice. “I will be able to, in transition, push the ball myself, be a play maker, initiate some of the offensive sets, but to be versatile on this type of team is helpful.”

Thompson, on the other hand, isn’t a shoo-in to make the final cut, although he does have a very good chance. He has been getting some high praise from various members of Team USA’s staff, including managing director Jerry Colangelo. “I don’t think you can ever have too many shooters on the team, especially in international play, and Klay can just flat out knock it down,” Colangelo said, “He would have to be one of the top two or three shooters on this roster.” (Full article with quotes can be found here.)

Both Warriors will be on the floor tonight representing the United States. While some players are focused on trying to find a rhythm with their new teammates before they head to Spain, others, like Thompson, are fighting for the final roster spots. Something tells me that although this is just a scrimmage, we can look forward to a fun and exciting game of basketball.
