PALAU SANT JORDI, BARCELONA, SPAIN — Spain lost to France last night and perhaps overlooked the French, but Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry said today at practice that USA Basketball’s Men’s National Team (#USABMNT) isn’t overlooking anybody, especially Lithuania tonight.
“For us as players, we only have nine games to continue that process of betting better and taking advantage of the moment,” Curry said today after a brief practice session, “So if you try to look ahead you, set yourself up for failure and we’ve made that a mission and expressed that from the time we showed up in Vegas two months ago, that this is a process.”
“Everyday is important,” Curry added, “Obviously, the goal is to be playing Madrid Sunday. That’s what we’re working for. Everyday has a role in getting to that point and not to overlook any opponent, not to disrespect anybody, to really focus on what we’re doing as a team, (from) the warmup (exhibition games) to get here, and then the tournament.”
