Media/TweediaDay 2014: Who The Warriors Players Use in NBA 2K

WARRIORS PRACTICE FACILITY, OAKLAND, CA — We are less than a week away from the release of one of the most popular video games across the country.

The newest installment from NBA 2K will hit stores October 7th, 2014, and gamers, basketball fans, and basketball players are going to be getting their hands on a copy.

At the Golden State Warriors 2014 Media Day (#TweediaDay), we asked a few of the players with whom they will be playing when they pick up the sticks on Tuesday, and each of them had something a little different to say.

“I play with all different kinds of teams,” Warriors power forward Marreese Speights told LetsGoWarriors during his media availability session, ” I like 2K though. But I always got to play with the Warriors at first.”

Newly acquired guard Brandon Rush may be a familiar face, but when he fires 2K up, he doesn’t always run with his respective squad.

“I’m random,” Rush told us, “I’m a video gamer so I’ll run with whatever team I land on.”

Second year point guard Nemanja Nedovic is one of the bigger 2K gamers on the team, and he spoke about the virtual version of the Warriors with high praise.

“I play with our team, the Warriors, because we got so many options in the offense,” Nedovic said with confidence, “It’s almost not possible to guard Steph (Curry), Klay (Thompson), and Andre (Iguodala), ‘Bogues’ (Andrew Bogut) especially, ‘DLee’ (David Lee), so I play with the Warriors.

“I like playing against ‘HB’ (Harrison Barnes),” Nedovic added with a smile.

That same day, Nedovic posted a picture on his instagram of him and Barnes with the caption “My favorite guy to beat in 2k.”

With training camp now underway, you can bet that most players are going to be looking to take their mind off the daily grind of the NBA season. What better way to do that, than to engage in a friendly game of 2K with the teammates.
