As the NBA season approaches it’s halfway mark, the NFL season is starting to wind down. Football fans everywhere have been gearing up for the most exciting part of their season, and that includes Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry.

Curry has made it clear that he roots for his hometown team by evidence of his Instagram pictures, where he is fitted head-to-toe in Carolina Panthers gear. It makes sense because the Panthers play in the same city Curry grew up in — Charlotte.

On Sunday, the Panthers played the defending champion Seattle Seahawks for a chance to go to the NBA equivalent of the conference finals. Luckily for Curry, the Warriors did not have practice, which gave him and his family a chance to make the trip to Seattle to catch the game.

Not so luckily — the game did not go as he probably would have liked as the Panthers lost 31-17. Shortly before the game ended, fans of both teams started getting feisty, including his wife and mother Ayesha and Sonya Curry.

As the arguing continued, Draymond Green came to his teammate’s defense hurling food at the Seahawks fans. In the video, the Curry family can be seen bickering with fans, before Green comes into the picture.

As humorous as this may be, Green believes people have been blowing things out of proportion. The next day he sent out this tweet which explained what he threw and how it wasn’t a big deal:

“Lol people know they blow stuff out of proportion…. It was 4 GRAPES!!!! And btw I’m not a Panthers fan idc that they lost!!!”

Time and time again, Green has shown he is willing to stick up for his teammates, and in this situation he has shown no different. The good news is, no punishment has come from the league on this issue, and one is not likely to come as of now.
