MADISON SQUARE GARDEN, NEW YORK, NY — This is a continuation of first and second quarter recaps of the 64th NBA All-Star Game. Stephen Curry ended the first half just 3 rebounds and 6 assists shy of a rare All-Star Game triple-double, although he also tallied 5 turnovers, while Klay Thompson had 2 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists.

3RD QUARTER: English!

LaMarcus Aldridge got hot early in the second half and scored 8 straight points for the West, then James Harden scored 7 straight after Thompson finally buried a three-pointer, then followed that up with a strong layup that earned two free throws against Carmelo Anthony.

Then with the score 104-103 in favor of the West, Curry hit a three, assisted by Harden, and then got this high-off-the-backboard, extra-English layup to fall, after going behind-the-back past Al Horford, that dazzled the crowd:

East coach Mike Budenholzer called timeout with the West up, 109-105, and 4:59 remaining in the third. West coach Steve Kerr would take out Curry and Thompson during the break and the West was led by Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant, Dirk Nowitzki, and DeMarcus Cousins.

The quarter ended with the score tied, 122-122. Curry had 15 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and Thompson 7 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists. Westbrook led all scorers with 33 points.
