Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry is making his rounds to the East Coast this week before finally settling back to the Bay Area for training camp, which begins on Monday, September 28th, 2015.

He started off two days ago with a “surprise” trip to Baltimore, MD at the headquarters of Under Armour, to announce a contract extension through 2024. Darren Rovell of ESPN reported:

Terms weren’t disclosed, but the company did say the new deal includes ownership in the company, which hit its all-time high stock price today.

Two years ago, Under Armour signed Curry after Nike failed to match a deal worth less than $4 million a year, which quickly became a bargain as Curry emerged as one of the best players in the league. Last year, in his first year in his signature shoe, the Curry One, he won the league MVP and his Warriors won the NBA title.

Steve Kyler of BasketballInsiders.com tweeted that Curry’s new deal was “said to be closer to Harden’s $200m adidas deal with stock.”

Steph’s wife Ayesha Curry then posted on Instagram that they had gone to New York City to tape a segment with Rachael Ray.

In the episode, Steph revealed that he would try to improve on something this season:

That would be his dish-washing acumen!

His next stop was Davidson College, where he attended workouts and practice with the basketball team [video], talked shop with head coach Bob McKillop, met with students in a jam-packed building, christened the opening of Davidson’s new practice facility with a bank shot on his first try, had lunch at the cafeteria, and walked around campus with Riley Curry and the Larry O’Brien NBA championship trophy in tow.

“Now that I’m representing Davidson College in the NBA and Oakland out with the Warriors and traveling around to all the different NBA cities, to see all the alumni from all over the place come out and support me during games — and I can see all the Davidson red — that means so much to me and obviously bringing it back home here,” said Curry to the mass of students gathered to hear him talk. “This is unbelievable. There’s not an empty seat in this building and you guys have been supporting me since Day One. So I appreciate that and that’s never going to stop and my commitment to Davidson is never going to stop.”

Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer wrote about the talk Curry had with the Davidson students:

Maybe the one disappointment in Thursday’s homecoming was the students hearing Curry didn’t bring along his daughter, Riley, whose precociousness made her a darling of the NBA Finals. There was a loud “Whoop!” from the students at Riley’s mention.
.
Late in the session a student asked Curry what’s the coolest thing he’s done since winning the title. Curry mentioned the opportunity to play golf recently with U.S. President Barack Obama.
.
“That was the best,” Curry said, “until today.”

Today, Curry is visiting his old high school, Charlotte Christian School.

This weekend, Curry will partake in the Carolina Panthers home game against the Houston Texans at Bank of America Stadium, where he will get an opportunity to bang the #KeepPounding drum:
