Luke Walton Just Wants Festus Ezeli To Be A Monster On The Defensive End

WARRIORS PRACTICE FACILITY, OAKLAND, CA — Golden State Warriors interim head coach Luke Walton discussed Festus Ezeli, who will be starting the next preseason game against the Los Angeles Lakers, in the absense of Andrew Bogut, who suffered a broken nose the night before against the Houston Rockets.

“Our biggest thing is we just want him to be a monster on the defensive end and control the paint for us,” said Walton. “(On offense) he’s getting better at making reads and passing the ball, the dribble hand-offs and stuff. His timing’s better.”

Walton also said the team ran a couple plays for him yesterday night against the Rockets.
