ORACLE ARENA, OAKLAND, CA — Early in the eventual win against the Orlando Magic two nights ago, Andrew Bogut nearly disrupted an otherwise wide-open three-point attempt by Stephen Curry.

Per our recap, here’s how the play unfolded:

…Bogut blocked two straight attacks by Elfrid Payton.
.
Curry saved the second swat from the baseline, the Warriors made five passes before Draymond got the ball again, glimpsed Bogut open near the bucket, fired the ball into him, but Bogut took his eye off the ball and fumbled it.
.
Before the Magic could figure out what was going on, Bogut tracked the ball down, saw Steph waiting wide open from the right arc, lasered him the ball, ran past him with his finger up, running to the backcourt to play defense, while Curry launched and swished the triple.

“I had to adjust the shot,” Curry told LetsGoWarriors after the game in the Warriors locker room. “It was a nice close-out, though.”

Bogut admitted as much.

“Yeah, I almost contested his shot,” said Bogut. “We laughed about it afterwards. He still made the shot.”

It was a bold, possibly arrogant pre-celebration by Bogut. “Soooo much disrespect,” wrote @World_Wide_Wob upon posting the first Vine of the play to hit Twitter, but the seven-foot center, with his outstretched arm and finger point, got in the way of Curry’s sight line.

But Bogut wasn’t worried. After all, there have been now over 300 — 301 as of the end of that game, to be exact — such made triples thus far this season.

“I’ve seen it a million times,” Bogut said. “It was a pretty easy thing to do, confidence-wise for me.”

Here’s a video of the play, which offers two angles:

Notice how Curry never takes his eyes off the rim. He’s locked in from the moment he receives the pass.
