ORACLE ARENA, OAKLAND, CA — This is a continuation of the halftime recap of the Utah Jazz at the Golden State Warriors.
The Warriors took a 52-41 lead into halftime.
3rd Quarter – MoBuckets
Andrew Bogut started the third quarter with two blocked shots, one on Gordon Hayward and the other on Shelvin Mack, giving him three for the game, to tie him on the all-time Warriors list with Larry Smith.
Bogut also got an alley-oop, Draymond Green a jumper, and Klay Thompson a triple, but the Jazz answered back with a Hayward jumper, a Mack three, and an “and-one” against Draymond from Derrick Favors.
On the second free throw made by Favors, Bogut got entangled with Rudy Gobert, gave him a chicken wing, and the refs ruled it a technical foul on Bogut since the play was on a dead ball. However, Hayward back-rimmed the free throw and with 8:44 to go, after the official review of the play, the Warriors held a 59-49 lead.
Klay got two jumpers, but Utah kept counter-punching, then Steph made two turnovers.
The bench unit came in, Marreese Speights made a jumper, played give-and-go with Leandro Barbosa, and the back-and-forth continued until Curry drew a charge on Joe Ingles, but the referee called a foul on Steph.
Curry lashed out and was whistled for a technical, which Trey Burke sank, but the Warriors were still up, 72-60, under two minutes.
On the next play, Speights, who scored another 7 points in one quarter…

…drilled a three on a catch from the left arc from Draymond, but Trey Lyles got an “and-one” versus Green. Andre Iguodala tried to keep Draymond away from the ref, but picked up a technical in the process.
With 45 seconds to go, Curry missed a layup barely, but got fouled and missed one of two throws.
Green attacked, found Speights in the left corner, who swung the ball to Barbosa on the left wing, who faked the shot as the Jazz shifted towards Curry at the top, and Barbosa nailed the triple.
Barbosa then drew a charge on Lyles as Speights swatted his shot…

…then on the side-out with 1.6 seconds remaining, Speights faked a look at Curry — the Jazz fully aware of Steph’s ability to launch from literally anywhere — and delivered a touchdown pass to Barbosa for a lefty layup just before the buzzer:

The Warriors took a commanding 81-63 lead after three quarters.
4th Quarter – Finishing Strong
Speights opened the quarter with another jumper, giving him 16 points on 6-7 shooting for the night. A Burke turnover led to an Andre breakaway finger roll at the rim. Andre continued the Warriors run with a tough shot over the backboard at the buzzer from the right corner. The run finally ended when Speights put up a serious heat check before signaling “my bad” to Kerr on the bench.

A Klay 3-pointer pushed the Warriors lead to 96-78 with 7:07 to play and Livingston immediately set-up Draymond for another from distance to give the Warriors their biggest lead at 21 points.
A couple sloppy Warriors plays led to a Gordon Hayward steal and lay-in, but the Warriors immediately got it back with a couple forced turnovers of their own. Steph got a runner with the left hand and Klay set up Varejao with a reverse lay-in to make it 103-81 Warriors with 5:21 to play.
A Varejao hoop with the harm put the game essentially on ice, as the subs replaced the regular rotation players for the game’s final 4+ minutes. Rush, McAdoo, Speights, Clark, and Barbosa closed out the game for the Warriors as the Warriors won their 46th consecutive home game.
Klay Thompson led the Warriors in scoring with 23 points on 9-14 shooting. Curry added 12 points and 10 assists and Draymond rounded out the Warriors big three with 17 points, 7 rebound and 5 assists. Barbosa and Varejao added 13 and 9 off the bench respectively.
