This is a continuation of the halftime recap of the Golden State Warriors at the Dallas Mavericks.
The Warriors took a 73-67 lead into halftime.
3rd Quarter – Bogut Out, Late Stick-To-It-Iveness
James McAdoo started in place of Andrew Bogut, who was ruled out for the remainder of the game with a left big toe injury, and got the first bucket of the second half on a catch in the lane for a layup, but the Mavs went on a 7-0 run thanks to a Chandler Parsons three, another jumper from Parsons, and a Dirk Nowitzki triple, and Dallas cut the Golden State lead to just one, 75-74, with 9:52 remaining as Warriors head coach Steve Kerr took a timeout.
Out of timeout, Stephen Curry weaved past the Mavs’ perimeter for a floater over Nowitzki, but a Dirk trailing three tied the game at 81-81.
The Mavs took a brief 83-81 lead after McAdoo got called for a charge on a catch inside from Draymond, which Ray Felton took advantage of with an early right side attack.
However, Golden State regained momentum as Curry caught a badly missed trey attempt from Klay Thompson and got the putback, flat-footed.
After a missed dunk, McAdoo drew free throws, made one of them, while Dallas continued a string of misses, with Deron Williams missing his target by a lot on multiple occasions, and Harrison Barnes ended up disrupting a Wesley Matthews drive, then caught a left arc swish from Marreese Speights to take an 87-83 lead with 4:57 to play as Mavs head coach Rick Carlisle took a timeout.
Later, both teams traded turnovers as David Lee lost the ball, Speights made a bad pass, and J.J. Barea stepped on the sideline, followed by a missed three by Curry.
Nowitzki turned the ball over to Leandro Barbosa and Steph led the break, finding a sneaking Shaun Livingston on a cut to put the Warriors up, 92-85, with 1:38 to go, capping an 11-2 run.
But Curry ended the quarter with a deflected pass to Draymond, who had to try to save it from the baseline, only to throw it out bounds and charged with the turnover.
However, Dirk shot an airball from the right baseline and Speights cut and got a right banker to drop, assisted by Green.
After a timeout by Carlisle, Devin Harris and Curry traded misses, Speights blocked a Barea attack, but Steph missed an open triple from the left arc as Livingston lost the ball, but a trailing Speights recovered and found Curry.
4th Quarter – More Threes
Thompson stepped up once again in the fourth, getting a dribble-and-pop to drop, then another bounce-and-stick over the smaller Barea, with the harm. With 7:49 left, Klay’s free throw put the Warriors up, 103-97.
After a missed left corner three by Brandon Rush, Barea finally answered back with a layup, but Thompson hit another trey, giving him 30 points on the night.
Deron Williams tried to answer back, but missed one of many bricks with a fade over Livingston that barely hit glass. After Klay missed a three, pulling up over Lee, Matthews lost the ball, appeared to twist his knee on the landing, and Livingston found Thompson for a triple from the right corner.
That gave Golden State a 109-99 lead with 6:17 left, Carlisle took another timeout, and, fortunately, Matthews was okay and came back to finish the game.
The teams traded a bunch of misses out of the timeout, including Curry, until Steph picked apart Barea then Nowitzki for this right side banker, giving him 28 points on 11-for-24 shooting:

Carlisle burned another timeout as the Warriors took a 111-101 lead with 4:20 remaining.
Dirk finally hit a three from the top and Felton got a layup after Curry missed one, but Thompson hit a deep, deep catch-and-shoot over Matthews, thanks to a rapid swing pass from Barnes at the top.
The Warriors kept the pressure on as Green tapped out a steal, outlet to Klay, who lost the ball, but Draymond corralled the loose ball after crossing halfcourt and found Barnes under the rim for an easy bucket. Matthews flew by and fouled him, and Harrison’s free throw put Golden State up, 119-108, with 2:25 to play.
Nowitzki tried to answer from beyond the arc, but missed, and Steph swished a left corner triple as Thompson drove and dished to Green, who found Curry.
That put the Warriors up, 122-108, with 1:58 to go, and Steph was up to 31 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 assists.
After a Williams floater, Barnes hit a three from the top, Green’s 8th assist, and the Mavs were done. The bucket also gave Barnes 20 points on the night.
Klay added another three on a catch on the right wing from Curry, giving Thompson ten triples, and Kerr called timeout after a Barea miss to sub out the starters with a minute left.
Klay finished with 39 points on 14-for-22 field, 10-for-15 from downtown, including a post-game douse from Green…

…while Steph tallied 31 points, a team-leading 9 rebounds, and 10 assists. Draymond had 15 points and 8 assists.
Nowitzki led the Mavs with 24 points, 9 rebounds, while Lee collected 16 points, 16 rebounds off the bench.
The Warriors (62-6) won with the final score of 130-112 and will travel to San Antonio for the back-end of a back-to-back tomorrow night against the Spurs.
