WARRIORS PRACTICE FACILITY, OAKLAND, CA — Golden State Warriors point guard and primary Under Armour endorser Stephen Curry wore a prototype, predominantly blue-colored version of his upcoming Curry3 signature shoe at practice yesterday, as well as morning shootaround today:

The shoes seemed to confirm the look-and-feel of early so-called “replica” copies that have made an appearance in China and on social media accounts of certain people in the shoe industry who have access to the latest factory orders from the big shoe manufacturers:

WearTesters.com has the details on the known shoe technology rumored to be employed in the Curry3:

From what we know as of now, the shoe will feature Charged cushion, full length herringbone, and an upper that uses a bit of tech — the burrito wrap — from the UA Curry 2.5 and another material that looks similar to SpeedForm — it has been rumored to be a knitted panel.

UnderArmour has not published release dates yet, but if the Curry2.5s, which Curry has worn in games, are to come out after the opening round of the playoffs as we reported, it would be logical to assume that the Curry3s, which Curry has not work in any games yet, will be released some time after that.

Yesterday, Curry also put the Curry3s to further use, working out with trainer Brandon Payne before speaking with reporters.

Curry took off his shoes before addressing the media. Under Armour has been known to be particularly sensitive to coverage of unreleased, according to a source who told us they took issue with photos of the as-yet-unreleased Curry2s when Curry wore them to a Team USA practice.

Not surprisingly, Curry took his Curry3s off before making himself available to media yesterday:
