FINAL RECAP WITH HIGHLIGHTS: Big Three Combine For 85 Points, Warriors (13-2) Wallop Los Angeles Lakers (8-8), 149-106

ORACLE ARENA, OAKLAND, CA — This is a continuation of the halftime recap of the Los Angeles Lakers at the Golden State Warriors.

The Warriors took an 80-49 lead into halftime.

Q3: Cruisin’

Timofey Mozgov hit two jumpers for the Lakers, then Brandon Ingram got hot and hit a layup and a right-side triple after Stephen Curry sneaked in a banker under the hoop as Draymond Green lost the ball, recovered and found Curry nearby.

Later, Kevin Durant soared in for a righty lay-in, then blocked a Brandon Ingram attack:

Klay Thompson splashed a triple, and Zaza Pachulia found Durant inside for an easy two while Curry and Thompson misdirected the Lakers on cuts to the outside.

Pachulia drew Mozgov’s fourth personal foul, but Lakers head coach Luke Walton kept him in the game and Mozgov remained an offensive factor, getting two more buckets.

But Curry hit another three…

…and Kerr checked Anderson Varejao in for some rare burn.

Steph added a jumper, Klay hit one on a baseline inbound catch, then a three fed by Andre Iguodala, and Mozgov traded a putback two-hand slam as Varejao went to help, with another Curry bucket, a righty scoop in the lane.

That gave Steph 31 points on 11-for-17 from the field, 7-for-11 downtown, and 9 assists, and the Warriors held a 103-75 lead with 2:14 remaining.

The quarter ended sloppily as Iguodala and Larry Nance traded turnovers, then Iguodala threw up an airball.

Lou Williams made a nice behind-the-back change-of-direction for a layup with 16 seconds to play, and Durant motioned Curry to take the last shot and Steph missed a pull-up from distance on the right wing over Nance, and the Warriors took a 106-78 lead into the final frame.

Q4: The Ian Clark Show

The Lakers went on a mini-run to start the period as Durant and David West missed, but KD hit a mid-range jumper, then after a Laker miss, pushed the ball on the rebound and lobbed to Iguodala for a quick two, prompting Walton to call a timeout as the Warriors held a 110-86 lead.

After the timeout, Ian Clark went on a tear, hitting a three, attacking and forcing a whistle for free throws, getting a leaner to drop, and draining another triple, stretching out the Golden State lead to 126-93 as Walton called another timeout with 6:18 to go.

Durant acknowledged Clark’s “en fuego” status…

The timeout cooled down Clark, who traveled for a turnover, but Kevon Looney on one of Clark’s misses, Shaun Livingston added a bucket, and after another Los Angeles miss, Patrick McCaw went top-shelf to JaVale McGee

…which gave the Warriors a 134-100 lead and forced another timeout by Walton.

Closing out, Looney made a step-back triple from the right wing, Clark drilled another two from distance, and Anderson Varejao got on the board with a free throw and a layup, which made the score 147-106, Golden State, with 55 seconds left.

With just a few seconds remaining, Clark inexplicably passed up a three-pointer, despite Thompson jumping up and down at the Warriors bench, clamoring to hit 150 points, and Vareja eventually got fouled and buried both free throws, ending with a final score of 149-106.

The Warriors dominated from the get-go and amassed a franchise-record 47 assists on 53 made field goals, led by Curry’s 31 points on 7-for-12 downtown, Durant’s 28-6-5 including an efficient 7-for-11 floor, Klay’s 24 points on 9-for-14 shooting and 4-for-7 beyond the arc, and 9 rebounds, 11 assists from Green.

Clarkson and Ingram led the Lakers with 16 points apiece.

Golden State will take the day off tomorrow for Thanksgiving, then head to Los Angeles for the home-and-home set spanning three nights, against the Lakers again.
