The Sox offense provided all that was needed scoring 7 runs on 9 hits including a 2-run long blast by Big Papi in the second and a solo home run by Nick Green in the 7th. The win put the Red Sox in a tie with the Yankees for first place in the A.L. East and was their sixth consecutive victory against their division rivals.
