Jon Lester thoroughly dominated the Toronto Blue Jays tonight and showed he is back on his game. He pitched seven scoreless innings and gave up just one hit and two walks while striking out eleven. Daniel Bard pitched a scoreless eighth giving up one hit and Papelbon pitched a perfect ninth. You can’t ask for anything more from the Red Sox pitching staff who, for two consecutive nights, utterly shut down the Jays offense.
Darnell McDonald resumed the role of hero with two hits on the night and an RBI and run scored.
