As it was widely reported yesterday, Dave Roberts….2004 Red Sox Hero, has been diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. Thankfully it was also reported that his prognosis is very very good. My heart goes out to Dave…and I will be sending him all the wonderful and healthy thoughts I have.
Want to send some thoughts of support to Dave?? Today the Boston Globe announced a contact email and mail address to send messages to Dave. I know that we in Red Sox Nation have sent messages to players before…often when they were struggling or in a slump. I know last year, I sent a postcard or two to Big Papi in response to a campaign started or at least promoted by Cyn over at toeingtherubber.com.
So, wanna join me…and anyone else in Red Sox Nation in sending a post card or an email to Dave??? I plan on getting some postcards in the mail ASAP. I hope I am not alone.
