Jon Lester was not sharp in the early innings today, he did however settle down and pitch good enough to keep the Red Sox in the game. The Sox started to pull away when Ortiz his his 10th homer of the month and gave the team a 2 run lead. Marco Scutaro had 3 hits in the game and Tek hit his 7th homer of the season. Jason Varitek only had 14 homers last year in 109 games, he has hit 7 this season in 22 games. Everything seemed to go well for the Sox except the awful white hats.
