18 Hits Not Enough for Red Sox

The Red Sox could not complete the sweep of the A’s today at Fenway as their day-game struggles continued.  Tim Wakefield  and MDC each gave up two homers in the game and were responsible for eight of the A’s nine runs in the game.

The offense did their part with eighteen hits including three hits apiece for Youk and Hermida.  Bill Hall had four hits in the game including a homer in the bottom of the ninth to bring the game withing one run before the A’s closed the door.

Red Sox third base coach Tim Bogar is not feeling much love from the Nation after a couple of bad decisions that may have cost the team the game.
