Red Sox Pheast on the Phils

Red Sox Pheast on the Phils

At 47 Jamie Moyer is the oldest player in the major league, and tonight he could have been out-pitched by a 97 year old.  The Red Sox tagged him for nine earned runs in the first inning.  Mike Lowell showed he was not rusty after spending all that time on the bench by hitting a home run in the first.  He got some playing time since Youk was sidelined with back issues.  Big Papi had a monster night going 3-5 with 4 RBI’s .

John Lackey had a good start going 6 innings and only giving up 2 earned runs.  Boof pitched to scoreless innings, although he did give up 4 hits, and was able to bring his ERA down from infinity to 18.00.
