With the departure of John Farrell the Red Sox are in need of a pitching coach and Curt Young could fit in nicely. The rumors are already starting and once again the Red Sox will have to compete with the Yankees for someone.
Young has already decided that he does not want to stay with the Athletics (he has been their pitching coach since 2004) and still may get the Diamondback’s job. He has worked with some great young talent in Oakland and could bring some of that experience to Boston.
