Winter Meetings Day Two – Morning Update

The Russell Martin rumors continue to swirl for the Red Sox.

Theo’s main goal at the Winter Meetings is to improve the bullpen.  WEEI’s Alex Speier thinks the club may be willing to give up a draft pick for reliever Scott Downs (Type A Free Agent).

Brian Fuentes is getting some attention from the Red Sox though he wants to remain a closer and is looking for $6-8 million a year.
