Garza traded to the Cubs

News broke yesterday that the Tampa Bay Rays have traded Matt Garza to the Chicago Cubs in exchange for prospects.  It seems like the AL East, at least for 2011….is turning from a 3 head monster back into a 2 head monster.  Yep…Rays lost Crawford, Pena, traded Jason Bartlett…and now have traded Matt Garza. 

Of course…all in Red Sox Nation land are jumping for joy.  We don’t have to see Garza spitting all over our mound…except maybe when we play the Cubbies in interleague play.

However….I still have that inkling feeling that things are not what they seem.  And…when the Cubs flip Garza to the Yanks…well…I’ll come back and say “I Told You So!”
