The best team ever…undefeated…..last place Red Sox have stumbled out of the gate and were swept today in Texas. Clay Buchholz, like Lester on Friday, fell victim to the long ball, and gave up four taters on the day. Francona put Papelbon in for the ninth to get some work and he struggled too; giving up an earned run on 2 hits and a walk.
The offense was flat with just five hits; Crawford had two of them including his first hit of the season.
Boston has an off day tomorrow and will take on the Tribe on Tuesday.
