Red Sox Offense Pummels Blue Jays to Sweep Series!

The Red Sox hoped to take their third consecutive sweep of a series with a win against the Blue Jays.  Today the Sox had Jon Lester on the mound, so we had a shot.  Jon Lester pitched a gem too.  He threw 8 strong innings allowing only 2 hits and 1 run.  The only damage was a solo shot by Jose Bautista and well…he is Jose Bautista.  Lester was wheeling and dealing.  Michael Bowden took the mound in the 9th to close the game out with a nice 1-2-3 inning.

The Red Sox offense picked up where it left off yesterday as well.  The Sox scored 14 runs throughout the game.  Gonzalez, Pedroia and Youkilis all hit HRs in the game.  Everyone in the starting lineup had a hit…except JD Drew.  Ellsbury, Gonzo, Scoot and Papi all had two hits for the game.  Youk and Salty had three hits on the night.  Basically, the Sox were a hitting machine.  I am sure the Blue Jays are happy to see the Sox leave town…just as the last two teams the Sox swept.

So good, so good, so good.
