Ugh. Sox Lose Again.

The Red Sox are hurting my feelings.  They also continue to lose.  There are two games left and the Sox are now tied with the Rays in the wild card race.  The Sox are playing the O’s who seem to be hell bent on playing good baseball now that they are eliminated and the Rays are playing the Yanks who seem hell bent on not caring about winning.

Josh Beckett was on the mound for the Sox and until the 6th was pitching alright, not great but alright.  The Sox had scored 2 runs up until that point.  Ells scored an RBI double in the 2nd and Jed Lowrie hit a solo HR in the 4th inning.  In the 5th, the Os got the go ahead run and Beckett went bck out in the 6th.  Unfortunately, Beckett seemed to hit a wall.  Davis hit an RBI double and the O’s lead 4-2.  Then Andino hit an inside the park HR when Ells almost made the catch and then slammed into the outfield wall.  Sox down 2-6.  In the 8th, bad went to worse when Salty needed to leave the game with an injury.  A foul ball went off his collarbone and he looked like he was in extreme pain.  In the 9th, Pedey got an RBI single to bring the Sox within 3 runs.  Papi singled and we had the tying run at the plate, but then Gonzo flied out and then Jed struck out.  Game over.  Sox lost.

There are two more games boys.
