Former Rams running back Isaiah Pead was involved in a single-car accident early Saturday morning in Columbus, Ohio. According to NBC 4’s Matt Barnes, Pead is in critical condition.
Citing the Columbus Division of Police, NBC 4 reported Pead lost control of his vehicle before he was ejected from the car. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
“The Cadillac struck the metal guardrail and continued through it,” NBC 4 wrote. “After going through the guardrail, the Cadillac became airborne and struck several trees on the way down the embankment. It came to rest about 95 feet from the roadway.”
According to Adam Schefter:
Former Rams and Dolphins RB Isaiah Pead remains in critical condition after undergoing surgery this morning following a car accident.
Pead rushed for 75 yards during his first two seasons in the NFL with the St. Louis Rams, but he missed the 2014 season after tearing his left ACL in preseason action.
